The shadows of our dreams.

Sometimes we stand

In the shadows of our dreams.

Not knowing whether to climb

The mountain between wishes and reality,

Or to travel the long path around.

There are no sign posts to guide us,

No maps to show the next turn to take.

The pitfalls are many,

The road, anything but smooth.

At times the pace is barely perceptible.

Progress measured in tears shed, not miles passed.

Other moments fly past so quickly,

Seemingly done before they start.

Sometimes we stand

In the shadows of our dreams,

For it is all we have.
